- In "The Shiny Trinket Maneuver" (S5E12), Bernadette tells Howard that she used to have problems while taking care of her younger siblings.
- In "The Scavenger Vortex" (S7E3), Leonard finds Bernadette very competitive as she keeps yelling at him so that they can win. She tells him that she probably got that way because she had five brothers and sisters.
- In "The Celebration Reverberation" (S11E11), Howard learns that Bernadette's sister's kids are sick and aren't coming to Halley's birthday party.
