Christine Jane Baranski (born May 2, 1952) is an American stage and screen actress.

She portrays Leonard's mother, Beverly Hofstadter, in three episodes of The Big Bang Theory.

Christne studied at Juilliard, won two Tonys (Best Actress (Featured Role - Play): in 1984 for Tom Stoppard's "The Real Thing;" and in 1989 for "Rumors") and was nominated for 10 Emmys (One nomination for TBBT and won one for "Cybil".)
