Comic-Con 2012 for The Big Bang Theory was held at the usual San Diego Convention Center on Friday, July 13, 2012. Compared to last year, this year's Comic-Con was held in the larger H-Hall (6,500 seats). This time around, Adam Savage from MythBusters moderated the panel consisting of the executive producers and cast members of the show; Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, Steven Molaro, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik. Jim Parsons; however, only appeared via satellite as he was unable to make it to San Diego due to his current work commitments (i.e. Performing in the play "Harvey" on Broadway in New York City). Johnny Galecki, meanwhile had to cancel his appearance at the last minute, due to his flight being delayed and he could not make it on time (Johnny is currently in the middle of filming a movie). The Q&A session was scheduled from 12.05 p.m. to 1.05 p.m., following which there was an autograph-signing session. The fans that were waiting for the session were given out chances and to win a real suborbital trip into space on Spaceship One.
