Levardis Robert Martyn Burton, Jr. (born February 16, 1957, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), better known as LeVar Burton, is an actor who played the role of Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He is also well-remembered for his breakthrough portraying the kidnapped in the "Roots" (1977) and hosting the children's book series "" for 22 years.
LeVar Burton was invited to Sheldon's gathering in the episode "The Toast Derivation" (S04E17) via . After waiting for him for a while, Sheldon concluded that LeVar was not attending his gathering and moved on. As the developed, LeVar came to the gathering after Sheldon left, but when he saw Barry, Zack, and a half naked Stuart singing "I'm Walking On Sunshine", LeVar immediately left and decided to give up on Twitter because of what he perceived to be going on at the apartment.
In "The Habitation Configuration" (S06E07), LeVar was the for Sheldon and Amy's "Fun with Flags" episode about Star Trek flags. In "The Champagne Reflection" (S08E10), LeVar was again the for Sheldon on a "Sheldon Cooper presents Fun with Flags" episode because Sheldon was willing to delete Levar's contact information from his computer which Levar would witness. On the show, Sheldon lets him view a clip of his impersonation (for Black History month) that Leonard thought was "wildly racist". Levar is also shocked though Sheldon thinks that he is agreeing with his criticism of Leonard. After Sheldon restarts the "Fun with Flags" series, he goes to Levar's house and asks him to guest star on an episode about German flags since he was born in Germany to American parents. He asks Levar to dress up like a and gets the door slammed in his face. Levar also says that he should have listened to Will Wheaton and gotten a gate.
